Video Content Intern (TikTok / Social Media)

Job Overview

Citrus Media Pte Ltd is looking for a creative, energetic and social media savvy Video Content Intern to join our content and marketing team. You will help create engaging short form video content across our growing portfolio of lifestyle, community and event brands, including Blissful Brides, Blissful One-Stop Wedding Show (BOWS), Clubpets and Singapore Pet Festival (SGPF).

This is a highly hands on role for someone who enjoys TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, filming, editing and storytelling, and wants to see their work published and experienced by real audiences. Unlike a purely office based content internship, you will have opportunities to create content at large scale exhibitions, community events, wedding showcases, pet festivals, brand activations, interviews and lifestyle shoots.

You will work closely with our marketing and creative teams to turn ideas, trends and real world moments into engaging social content that builds our brands and communities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Short-Form Content Creation

• Create engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and other emerging social platforms.
• Develop content that is entertaining, informative, relatable and suited to the different audiences of our wedding, pet and lifestyle brands.
• Experiment with different formats including POV videos, interviews, vox pops, behind-the-scenes content, event highlights, educational videos, storytelling and trend-led content.

2. Video Filming & Production

• Assist with and independently handle selected video shoots at events, exhibitions, wedding venues, pet-related activities, community events and lifestyle locations.
• Capture spontaneous moments, audience interactions and behind-the-scenes footage that can be transformed into engaging social content.
• Ensure footage is visually appealing, properly framed and suitable for mobile-first platforms.

3. Video Editing & Post-Production

• Edit short-form videos using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or other relevant editing software.
• Incorporate subtitles, music, transitions, graphics and other creative elements to improve viewer engagement and retention.
• Adapt long-form or event footage into multiple short-form content pieces for different social platforms.
• Optimise videos according to platform formats, audience behaviour and current social media best practices.

4. Social Media Trends & Content Research

• Stay updated on TikTok, Instagram and wider social media trends, including trending formats, sounds, editing styles, memes and creator techniques.
• Identify trends that can be adapted appropriately for Citrus Media's brands rather than simply copying viral content.
• Research successful content from the wedding, pet, lifestyle, events and entertainment sectors and propose ideas that can be localised for our audiences.

5. Creative Ideation & Storytelling

• Participate actively in brainstorming sessions and contribute fresh, practical and executable content ideas.
• Develop creative hooks, story angles and video concepts that capture attention within the first few seconds.
• Help transform campaigns, events, partnerships and community activities into stories that audiences want to watch and share.

6. Event & Real-Time Content Coverage

• Support video coverage for major Citrus Media events including BOWS, Singapore Pet Festival (SGPF), community pet events and other brand activations.
• Capture interviews, exhibitor activities, audience reactions, programme highlights and behind-the-scenes moments.
• Assist in producing fast-turnaround and real-time social content during events to build excitement and online engagement.
• Be prepared to support selected events that may take place on weekends or outside normal office hours, with arrangements made according to the event schedule.

7. Brand & Community Content

• Create content that strengthens the personality and community of Blissful Brides and Clubpets, rather than focusing solely on promotional videos.
• Help identify interesting personalities, stories, pets, couples, vendors, exhibitors and community members who can be featured in our content.
• Support collaborations and content opportunities involving brands, creators, partners, speakers and event participants.

8. AI & Emerging Content Tools

• Explore and utilise AI-assisted creative tools for content ideation, scripting, captioning, editing, repurposing and production where appropriate.
• Keep up with emerging content technologies and recommend tools or workflows that can improve the speed and quality of content production.
• Experiment with new formats while ensuring that content remains authentic and aligned with each brand.

9. Content & Asset Management

• Organise raw footage, completed videos and other digital assets systematically for easy retrieval and reuse.
• Maintain proper file naming, storage and archiving practices.
• Assist the team in building a reusable content library from events, campaigns and shoots.

What We Are Looking For

• Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Media, Communications, Film, Marketing, Digital Media or a related discipline.
• Strong interest in TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and digital content creation.
• Comfortable filming using smartphones and/or cameras.
• Basic to intermediate video editing skills using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro or similar tools.
• Good understanding of what makes short-form content engaging.
• Creative, curious and willing to experiment with new ideas and formats.
• Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned content.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where content opportunities can develop quickly.
• Willing to attend and support selected events, including weekends when required.
• Interest in pets, weddings, lifestyle content or events would be an advantage.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma/Degree in Film, Media, Communications, or Design• Passion for video storytelling and social media content creation• Familiar with platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts• Basic experience in video shooting and editing• Knowledge of CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, or similar editing tools is an advantage• Creative mindset with strong visual sense• Able to work in a fast-paced event and content environment

Bonus Skills (Optional but Preferred)

• Experience creating TikTok content with good engagement• Comfortable appearing on camera or directing social media videos• Interest in weddings, lifestyle content, or pets
