Job Description

Objective of role:

  • The Sales Associate is to drive results and enhance the customer experience by providing exceptional service.

 Key accountabilities:

  • Achieve individual sales targets.
  • Maintaining a high level of customer service at all times.
  • Acknowledge and greet the customer promptly with a smile.
  • Prioritize assisting customers over other tasks.
  • Assess needs by responding to customers cues.
  • Educate customers on the benefits of Bering Timepiece merchandise.
  • Offer solutions for out of stock items i.e. alternate item, etc.
  • Follow up with customers to see if they need additional assistance.
  • Offer additional styles or colours to increase sales levers.
  • Process and follow up customer orders and exchanges.
  • Ensure a high level of merchandising and cleanliness in line with the Bering Visual Merchandising guidelines.
  • Ensure stock is always replenished and accounted for.
  • Ensure back room is always neat and tidy, and stock is in an organised order.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Decision making:
Without referral to manager

  • Prioritization & delegation of tasks within delegated tasks
  • Coordination with VM for development and training of team

Key attributes:

  • At least a year of retail sales or customer service experience
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated passion for extraordinary customer service.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and store personnel.
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
  • Open availability and flexibility to work nights, weekends, store openings and closings, to meet the needs of the business.
