Job Description

We are looking for a Regional Strategy Intern to support the launch and scale-up of a new initiative that is housed within the New Business Units (NBU) division. This role would involve conducting in-depth market research and analysis to develop the go-to-market strategy for the new vertical across markets, working with regional and local stakeholders to execute on the launch plan, and structuring and analysing commercial, operational and financial data to improve overall business performance. 

The ideal candidate for the role should have exceptional analytical abilities, a structured, data-driven approach to problem solving and an aptitude for learning about new products, services and markets within a short period of time.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth market research to assess market opportunity for new vertical across markets in SEA
  • Building of business cases to validate commercial, operational and financial viability of opportunity in targeted markets
  • Analyse competitive landscape and conduct price and product benchmarking to inform decision-making on competitive positioning and go-to-market strategy
  • Identify, develop and implement strategic growth initiatives that have a direct impact on accelerating business growth across markets
  • Support execution of launch plan across markets by working closely with regional and local stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of outcomes, with the opportunity to lead end-to-end execution of specific workstreams
  • Build dashboards to organise, structure and analyse commercial, operational and financial data to provide improved visibility on overall business performance
  • Deliver data-driven insights and propose recommended actions that would lead to improved performance on key business metrics

Requirements

  • Candidates who are able to commit 3-6 months ideally (full-time) from the period of Sept 2022 onwards 
  • Currently pursuing an MBA or degree with relevant discipline in penultimate or final year preferred
  • Track record of delivering results in a fast-paced, high-pressure environments 
  • Prior internship experience in strategy consulting, or strategy, growth or operations roles in a similar environment would be ideal
  • High level of proficiency in excel and powerpoint
  • Sharp analytical abilities and a structured, data-driven approach to clarifying, scoping and solving problems
  • Strong quantitative skills with the ability to interpret, structure and manipulate large amounts of data into actionable insights
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
