Job Description

This role is designed for a final-year or penultimate-year student who wants real exposure to how medical, marketing, and customer experience strategy intersect in healthcare communications. You will support the development of scientifically grounded, omnichannel-ready content under the guidance of senior strategists and medical writers.

As part of this internship, you will work on real client projects for pharmaceutical and nutrition brands, with outputs that directly contribute to HCP engagement, campaign planning, and strategic deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

1/ Medical & Scientific Content Support

  • Support the development of HCP-facing content across formats: slide decks, visual aids, emails, playbooks and internal toolkits.
  • Assist with literature searches, data extraction, and basic evidence synthesis from peer-reviewed sources.
  • Help ensure scientific accuracy, proper referencing, and compliance with brief requirements.

2/ Omnichannel & Customer Experience Support

  • Assist in mapping simple customer journeys for HCPs and patients across touchpoints (e.g. digital, rep-led, event-based).
  • Support the adaptation of content across multiple channels while maintaining scientific integrity.
  • Help with basic content tracking and version control for different markets or stakeholder groups.

3/Strategic & Project Support

  • Support ongoing strategy projects for pharma and nutrition brands (e.g. campaign planning, launch strategy, internal playbooks).
  • Prepare background research on disease areas, treatment landscapes, and brand categories.
  • Help document meeting notes, insights, and action points for internal and client discussions.

4/Internal Operations & Quality Control

  • Assist with proofreading, formatting, and consistency checks across decks and documents.
  • Support internal knowledge management (organising references, assets, version histories).
  • Coordinate with strategy, creative, and medical teams on task tracking when required.

What You Will Learn:

  • How medical strategy, brand marketing, and customer experience planning come together in a real agency environment.
  • How to interpret clinical data and translate it into compliant, impactful communication.
  • How omnichannel thinking applies in regulated healthcare contexts.
  • How large regional APAC projects are structured, managed, and delivered.

Candidate Profile:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as: ife Sciences / Biomedical Science / Pharmacy Nutrition / Public Health / Biomedical Engineering / Communications with strong science exposure
  • Ideally in penultimate or final year of study.

Core Skills

  • Strong written English with high attention to clarity and accuracy.
  • Comfortable reading and interpreting scientific or clinical information.
  • Good organisational habits and ability to manage multiple small tasks.
  • Basic proficiency in PowerPoint and Word (advanced design skills not required, though valued).

Core Attributes

  • Curious about how science is applied in real-world healthcare marketing.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to work through complex content carefully.
  • Open to feedback and iterative revisions.
  • Professional, responsible, and able to meet deadlines without constant supervision.

Nice to Have

  • Prior exposure to healthcare, research, or content work.
  • Familiarity with PubMed, Google Scholar, or basic literature review.
