Makeable is building a platform that helps anyone turn an idea into a real physical product. We bring 3D design, tested compatible electronics, code, parts and assembly guidance together so people without an engineering background can build, share and eventually sell their own products. Industrial / Product Designer (Internship or Full-time)

Design physical hardware products people are proud to build, use and share. Shape concepts, enclosures and 3D-printed prototypes with attention to form, usability, fit, finish, assembly and electronics placement. Iterate in CAD, test printed parts and work with engineers so designs are manufacturable and easy for people without engineering experience to assemble. Some software or user-interface exposure is useful.

Show a portfolio of physical products or prototypes. Explain your design decisions, iterations and what you personally contributed. Undergraduate students, recent bachelor’s graduates and early-career designers are welcome; no master’s degree or prior full-time experience is required.

Internship: paid, approximately 12 weeks. Recruiting from Singapore and the US. Starting at 3,000+/month. For San Francisco placements, flights, visa costs, accommodation, food and local transport are covered.

Full-time: recruiting from Singapore for an on-site San Francisco role; relocation is required. Starting at 6,000+/month.
