Computational Geometry & CAD Engineer (Internship or Full-time)

Write code that makes AI-generated 3D shapes into precise, manufacturable parts. Build mesh and CAD post-processing for internal dimensions, electronics fit, clearances, cavities, port openings, mounting points, screw holes, collision checks, Boolean operations and mesh repair. Collaborate with Ariq on generative-design research and with our AI engineer on integration.

Show strong Python or C++ and a code-driven geometry portfolio. Relevant tools include Open CASCADE, CadQuery, build123d, Trimesh, CGAL, Open3D and Blender Python. Computer science, mechanical engineering, computer engineering, graphics and robotics backgrounds are welcome. Show a project that automatically manipulates or validates 3D geometry. No master’s degree or prior full-time experience is required.

Internship: paid, approximately 12 weeks. Recruiting from Singapore and the US. San Francisco placements start at US$3,400/month; Singapore placements start at S$3,000/month. For San Francisco placements, flights, visa costs, accommodation, food and local transport are covered.

Full-time: recruiting from Singapore. The role is on-site in San Francisco; relocation is required and Makeable will help with the move. Starting base salary is S$7,000/month.
