Narus Knowledge is a Singapore based start-up that specializes in turning complex legal information into structured data. Its machine learning solution is now serving the public prosecutors in Singapore at the Attorney General Chambers. This is a great opportunity for a trainee to gain the first-hand experience in a fast-growing deep-tech start-up.
The tasks would include software development, development of data science and machine learning models as well as their deployment in a cloud environment all while working closely with the company founding members (experienced lawyers, ex-Goldman Sachs developer and PhD machine learning researcher).
This would entail specifically:
Data cleaning, pre-processing, and text parsing
Writing well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
Implementation of machine learning models and integration into the backend via REST API deployment
Designing and building user-friendly capabilities for batch / real-time data ingestion, data transformation, analytics and visualization for structured and unstructured data
Developing the pipelines, stores, and other parts of data ecosystem
Working within the cloud environment (Azure / AWS)
Using python natural language processing libraries like nltk, gensim along with frameworks for neural networks [only for those candidates with prior experience]
