Nair Pte Ltd – Investment Research Intern

We’re seeking an energetic research intern to assist the firm with investment research across a broad range of areas. The intern should have an interest in, financial fundamentals, economic factors, strategy and policy, and the use of technology to facilitate the analysis of data. 

Responsibilities

• Building methodologies to research and analyze the impacts of economic trends and events
• Efficiently structuring data requirements for research processes
• Evaluating data sources and building repeatable processes to pull and store relevant data
• Strategic and situational analysis of individual companies
• Interpreting unstructured data such as investment prospectuses, shareholder agreements and term sheets, and identifying potential investment downsides and legal risks
• Reading and assessing sell-side investment recommendations and reports
• Due diligence on operational business plans and direct investment opportunities
• Determining execution for investments based on research and analysis
• Other investment-related activities that involve analysis, execution, implementation or evaluation

Requirements

• Enjoys reading, performing data analysis, and forecasting.
• Accuracy in execution and a strong attention to detail.
• A strong sense of curiosity and professional drive.
• Ability to work in a team and excellent communication skills.
• Familiarity with basic Python and Bloomberg excel functions or BQL is a plus.
• 3rd or 4th year Undergraduate, or Masters students studying in a relevant course, are preferred.
• Ability to travel overseas if necessary
• Ability to commit full-time to an approximately 6-month internship

• Duration:  3 - 6 months, 16 hours per week (part-time) or 40 hours per week (full-time)
