We know Mutant is an odd name for an agency. While we’d love to give you a really cool reason for it - like being exposed to gamma radiation or being bitten by a spider - our origin story is a little less dramatic.
In 2012, Mutant launched in Singapore as a PR agency with a vision for growth based on getting real business results for clients - without the agency fluff.
Since these humble beginnings, we’ve evolved into a regional agency, servicing clients across Asia Pacific and globally for their PR, content marketing, branding, and social media needs.

We are looking for an enthusiastic PR Intern who will be responsible for supporting the team in across PR activities and media events.
You will be working across the Corporate, Lifestyle, and Technology departments of the business helping to support the team on media monitoring & reporting, media pitches, social media reporting & client event management.
The role will report directly to their allocated mentor.
What you can expect:
- You’ll be liaising on a daily basis with clients and the media, often via telephone and/or email.
- You’ll learn to write compelling articles, blogs, and other materials as required
- You’ll be supporting the team on media monitoring, including newspapers, magazines, journals, broadcasts, newswires, social media sites, and blogs, for opportunities for clients
- You’ll be the go-to person when it comes to preparing client reports and attending our client meetings
- Researching, writing, and distributing press releases to targeted media are your strong suits
- You’ll be promoting news stories and features to the media; collating, analyzing, and evaluating media coverage
- You’ll be supporting event management, including press conferences, promotional events, coordinating studio and/or location photography
- You’ll learn about commissioning market research and creating targeted content for clients
- You’ll learn the fundamental skills on managing social media.
- You’ll walk away with establishing professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and the media.
What you’ll need:
- You’re a fresh graduate with a passion to build a career in Public Relations.
- You’re able to commit a minimum of 6 months as a full-time intern.
- You’re interested in working with a variety of lifestyle, technology, and startups clients.
- You have an excellent command of the English language and are an exceptional writer.
- You’re a team player, not just enthusiastic; you’re receptive to feedback and learning new processes; never afraid to share your opinions.
- Most importantly, you’re someone who has an awesome personality and thrives working with a close-knitted team.
