Started in 2013, Mind what Matters comprises a team of mental health specialists whose aim is to provide professional, targetted and effective evidence-based psychology services. We strive to de-stigmatise mental illness and optimise psychological well-being through open conversations, understanding and change. We are passionate about helping people through their issues and beyond to thrive in their lives.
We are looking for an intern in the period of August to December. The internship may be extended on a needs-basis as well.
The duties of the an intern are as follows:
1. Handle reception and route clinic administrative duties, including customer service.
2. Conduct research to generate training materials/activities, articles, educational materials, reports and general content on mental health.
3. Observe and support psychotherapy training workshops.
4. Generate content for and manage social media and websites.
5. Other ad hoc duties, as required.
We are looking for psychology undergraduate students (any year of study) or with a strong interest in clinical/counselling psychology with good reading/research/writing abilities. We would love for individuals whom are motivated and innovative. Individuals with a keen interest in clinical/counselling psychology, or are awaiting University placements may also apply.
As a Psychology Practice intern, you will report to our clinic manager and at times to our principal clinical psychologist.
