Job Description

General Area of Responsibility

Ensure optimization of vessels for the overall Network and at the same time minimizing all relevant cost. Monitoring slot utilization of vessel against allocation and capacity.

Specific Areas of Responsibility

  • Daily Reports to Liners in Singapore and Geneva HQ
  • Daily Bookings
  • Ensure the accuracy of agent’s forecast/final loading through system (I-space)
  • Monitor allocation/diversion instructions by the respective line managers and ensure agents follow up and update in the system.
  • Daily Executive Summary
  • Liaise with agency offices (POL) pertaining to market trend- increase/decrease in cargoes projections and report to line managers.
  • Daily Diagram
  • Summary of vessel utilization for all strings. This will facilitate cargoes diversions from one string to another.
  • Review overall network utilization and propose for the necessary diversion plans to optimize each string.
  • Liaise with Line Operation during contingency/omission plans.
  • Monitoring cargoes connections and instructing transhipment ports (6 main T/S ports: NBO/CWN/HKG/PUS/SIN/TPP) of planned cargoes nominations base on allocation assigned by line managers.
  • Planned for cargoes diversions and rollovers by instructing transhipment POLs
  • Review possible miss connections and advancement of cargoes basis on the utilization of the vessels.
  • Co-ordinate the necessary conversion of Optional to fix and vice versa with pol or the restows of Optional with planner/line ops to achieve maximum vessel utilization.

Other General Duties

  • Uploading of bay-plans in CAMS
  • Updating iSpace as necessary

 

Candidate Requirement

  • Degree/Diploma holder, preferably in Maritime Transportation or Nautical Studies.
  • Minimum 2 years working experience in container shipping industry.
  • Independent and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Able to work long hours, on weekends and public holidays when required.
  • Good interpersonal, communication and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Working knowledge of CASP is essential but not necessary.
  • Believe in team-driven culture.
  • The ability to speak various languages is also welcome.
