King and the Pawn is a one-of-a-kind bar and cafe on Purvis Street, featuring over 300 board games, our favourite comfort foods with a playful twist, beer on tap, signature cocktails and locally-roasted coffee.
Your main duties will include assessing customer preferences to provide board game recommendations, teaching games, and ensuring that customers are having a great time with the games. You will also be in charge of making sure the games are properly stored and ready for play, helping with food and drink service, and cleaning up after customers.
What we look for:
- Love for board games, preferably with experience playing a wide variety of games (including strategy games). Knowledge of at least 10 board games, including at least 1 strategy game is required.
- A passion for teaching and introducing people to board games
- Fun-loving and outgoing personalities
- Good communication skills
Pay will start at $10.00 an hour depending on experience / knowledge of games. Candidates have to be willing to work weekends and public holidays, and commit for a minimum of four to five months.
