Job Description

Supply Chain (Planning) Intern (X2)


Programme Scope

1.  Inventory Optimization

  • Optimize inventory in pipeline, excess field inventory in country while maintaining end-customer service levels.

Key Deliverables

  • Review gaps in current inventory management that has resulted in or will contribute to rising inventory levels.
  • Drive the implementation of inventory reduction action plans and support development of inventory management procedures/processes.
  • Track inventory performance, document and facilitate the sharing of best practices.


2.  S&OP Business Processes

  • Support regional business unit leads in engagements with cross-functional teams through monthly S&OP cycles and raising maturity of S&OP.

Key Deliverables

  • Assist the effective sensing and management of Events (New Products Introductions, Tenders, Regulatory changes, etc) through participation in Regional S&OP and handover meetings.
  • Facilitate the resolution of escalations from country teams & commercial partners to improve customer experience.
  • Support S&OP monthly drumbeat, decisioning and drive completion of action plans.
  • Develop documentations of work procedures and processes.


Prequisites

  • Completed coursework and/or experience in Supply Chain and Systems Engineering.
  • Strong interest to gain experience in a supply chain operations environment by learning on the job and completing a project from definition to implementation.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and collaborate with multiple internal cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Self-starter, fast learner, creative, results oriented and eager to be challenged.
