Imerys Asia Pacific Pte Ltd: Business Development and Marketing Internship (Summer 2017)
The creation of this internship position is to support the regional and local business development teams in both organic and inorganic growth:
- by sourcing relevant market information
- by building a database of customers and suppliers of carbonates in APAC
- by structuring key findings related to market information to update and establish regional/country strategies
- by assisting in potential acquisitions and divestment processes
- by assisting in any other ad-hoc tasks required by the business development team
- by assisting in strategic marketing of our products
Key responsibilities:
- Suggest additional sources of market/competition information
- Approach and discuss with both internal and external subject matter experts
- Structure market and competitor information in an analytical way
- Work with the countries to get a deep understanding of the local market
- Identify potential Targets for mergers and acquisitions
- Assist in preparing presentations for investments committees
- Update the database of customers and competitors of carbonates in APAC
- Engaging in ad-hoc B2B marketing projects
Profile:
- Degree in Business Management/Administration preferred
- Only Singapore-based students/applicants will be considered
- Preferably with less than one year of working experience
- Very good analytical skills and high level of rigour
- Able to work under pressure in a M&A environment
- Naturally inquisitive mind with an ability to think 'outside the box'
- High level of curiosity with ability to step back for strategic thinking
- A certain level of autonomy and not shy to ask questions
- High proficiency in XLS and PPT
- Knowledge of a 2nd South-East Asian language will be an advantage
