FrieslandCampina produces and sells consumer products such as dairy-based beverages, infant nutrition, cheese and desserts in many European countries, in Asia and in Africa via its own subsidiaries. Dairy products are also exported worldwide from the Netherlands. In addition, products are supplied to professional customers, including cream and butter products to bakeries and catering companies in West Europe. FrieslandCampina sells ingredients and half-finished products to manufacturers of infant nutrition, the food industry and the pharmaceutical sector around the world.

Job Title: Regional Communications Intern
Please note that this is a 6-month internship, starting from Jan/Feb 2019
- Regional Communications Intern will work as part of Regional Corporate Affairs team based in the Singapore
- The position will report to the Head of Public Affairs and Communications and also work closely with the Corporate Affairs for Asia, Middle East and Africa (AMEA)
- The role supports our strategic internal and external communications strategies and campaigns to positively shape the debate and public policy outcomes on issues important to FC and dairy industry
Internal Communication
- In conjunction with the Head of Public Affairs and Communications, develop and implement regional internal communications strategy that meets organisational objectives and aligns with the FC regional communications strategy
- Collate content and manage internal communications channels, such as writing/editing the regional employee e-newsletter, Yammer site, organise lunchtime talks and draft/edit key internal presentations
- Measure the effectiveness of internal communications messages and channels on an ongoing basis and make recommendations to review and amend the strategy as appropriate
- Ensure consistent framing of messages
- Closely manage the editing, design, and printing of internal publications
- Prepare reports and updates for Regional Corporate Affairs team
- Prepare daily news report for the management and corporate affairs team
External Communication
- Support external communication activities around FC’s communications strategy
- Manage and build upon existing national and local business media relationships
- Support Public Relations evaluation and control of activities
- Support social media engagement such as LinkedIn and Facebook
What we are looking for
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Interested to work in a complex organisation with geographically dispersed staff
- Able to engage with stakeholders of different levels within an organization
- Knowledge of social media management
- Able to write for a variety of audiences with strong attention to detail, editing and proofreading skills
- Design skills preferred
- Team player
