Everyone knows someone who got a dog during COVID-19. Global dog ownership rates are higher than ever before, given this the demand for dog-related goods and services have also reached new peaks. Dog parents are always looking for an attractive deal. Retailers like “Chewy” and service marketplaces such as “Rover” are being utilized more than ever. While the Chewy’s and Amazon’s of the world take up c.40% of dog-related goods market share, SMEs / “Mom and Pops” in the dog-space account for 60% of over consumer spend in the United States. These SMEs also include dog-related services such as training, grooming, dog-friendly restaurants, day care, which is not the core focus of big retailers. Until today, the SME community does not have a dedicated outlet to automate, share and create a community nationwide that is frequented by consumers on a single focused platform.  

Fetch! is the world’s first deals and discounts app that connects dog parents and dog-related businesses together. We are a dog-parents one-stop deal finder built to satisfy their dogs every need by providing merchant partners with a seamless way to automate their business to capture new consumers with ease.

Our platform provides an audience for all dog-related SMEs to share their exclusive deal or discount at their convenience. They can utilize our platform to enhance different aspects of their sales cycle. Whether it is a new grooming business wanting to get additional exposure within their community or a pet supplies store that has been in the neighbourhood for +20 years and overstocked on a product that is not moving and needs support to get supplies moving, Fetch! is there to help.

On the end-user side, we have our dog parents, whom we provide a one-stop deal finder for. Dog parents can search for a good or service within their community, purchase it and then have it delivered, picked up or booked, all at the best price. Raising a dog can get costly, we are here to help! This is a pivotal time to join Fetch! as we are growing rapidly! We are scaling globally, which means that there are a lot of opportunities for you to have a direct impact on shaping this start-up from the ground up.

Job Description

What We Are Looking For:

We are looking for an energetic individual to help expand the Fetch! platform by strategizing growth initiatives to bring the organization to new heights. You will be supporting the Co-Founders on fundraising initiatives, product expansion and helping the Company create and hit its roadmap milestones. Other duties will include market research, developing business strategies and pitches, managing a variety of projects and identifying new business opportunities. You will work with various departments and report directly to the Co-Founders.

The successful applicant will be resourceful, organized and motivated to increase sales, enhance the company's reputation, and look for new and creative ways to market and grow our platform. A background in consulting or finance is strongly desirable.

 

What You Will Do:

  • Willing to familiarize yourself with Fetch!’s vision and mission, seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives.
  • Conducting market research and identifying potential merchants partners.
  • Working closely with staff across departments to implement growth strategies.
  • Developing and implementing sales strategies, client service and retention plans, and analysing sales data to inform or update marketing strategies.
  • Drafting business plans, sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
  • Identify new business opportunities and partners.
  • Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients.
  • Assist with fundraising activities, which will include liaising and originating potential investors, addressing their questions and compiling information requests on an ad hoc basis.
  • Basic financial modelling to project the growth of the business and new initiatives being undertaken.

 

What We Are Looking For In You:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business management, marketing, or related field.
  • 1 - 2 years' relevant work experience in business development, finance or consulting is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Strong organization and project management skills.
  • Friendly and personable demeanour.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
  • Passionate about animal welfare – dog lovers are a plus!
