Job Description

The role of the Assistant to Podiatrist is to assist the podiatrists in consultation and treatment, with general tasks such as preparing clinical instruments, preparation of clinic rooms, assisting patients including language translations.

You will be part of a highly motivated team, driving greater awareness of Podiatric medicine for the lower limbs, as well as understanding the effectiveness and uniqueness of our treatment methods. You will also be trained to do basic but essential maintenance and cleaning of treatment equipment and instruments.

Assisting the podiatry team closely with daily running of the clinic including preparing of clinical instruments and rooms, retrieving and photocopying documents. Cleaning of clinical instruments and ensuring cleanliness of the clinical space. Interacting with patients closely in terms of translation, clarifying concerns regarding treatments and reassuring patients during treatments. Helping podiatrists during treatments to document key points and pass instruments that are needed to the podiatrist, as well as all general tasks that may be associated to helping the podiatrists.

To maintain cleanliness and hygiene of treatment equipment and instrument. Disinfect and/or wipe equipment and instruments used by podiatrists in the course of treating patients. This is especially important in view of COVID 19 cases in the country. To alert supervisor if you discover any equipment or instruments not in good working condition or safe to be used in your opinion.
