About the Role:

We are looking for a proactive Candidate Engagement Intern to support our recruitment efforts across multiple hiring platforms. You will be the first point of contact for candidates — engaging leads, conducting call-throughs, and guiding them through the interview process. If you enjoy talking to people and want real HR experience, this role is perfect for you.

What You’ll Do:

  • Contact candidates daily via calls, WhatsApp, and email
  • Engage applicants from platforms such as JobsCentral, JobStreet, MyCareersFuture, Indeed, and our online lead campaigns
  • Pre-screen and explain job opportunities to candidates
  • Convince suitable candidates to schedule and attend interviews
  • Follow up with applicants and manage confirmations & no-shows
  • Update candidate info and status in tracking sheets (Google Sheets)
  • Assist with basic sourcing on LinkedIn or Telegram job groups
  • Support recruitment events and walk-in interview days

What You’ll Learn:

  • Hands-on experience in candidate outreach
  • How to pitch job opportunities and handle objections
  • Real recruitment workflow in the financial & events industry
  • Candidate engagement psychology (interest, motivation, decision-making
  • Managing high-volume leads and communication
  • Working closely with Group Director & recruitment team

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Students or fresh grads (HR, Business, Marketing preferred, but all welcome)
  • Comfortable speaking on the phone
  • Good communication and people skills
  • Confident, friendly, and proactive
  • Organised and able to handle multiple candidates
  • Able to commit minimum 6 months
