Job Description

About the Role:

Design and Analysis: Designing solar energy systems, including photovoltaic (PV) arrays or solar thermal systems. Utilising software tools to model and analyze system performance and efficiency. 

Site Assessment: Conducting site assessments to determine the suitability of locations for solar installations. This includes evaluating factors such as solar irradiance, shading, and environmental conditions. 

System Optimization: Optimizing solar energy systems for maximum efficiency and output. This can include adjusting panel angles, tracking systems, and troubleshooting issues. 

Data Analysis: Analyze data collected from solar installations to assess performance, identify problems, and make recommendations for improvements. 

Regulatory Compliance: Assist with ensuring that solar projects comply with relevant regulations, permits, and codes, including safety and environmental standards. 

Research and Development: Research and development projects focused on advancing solar energy technologies or exploring innovative solutions. 

Energy Modeling: Use energy modeling softwares to simulate and calculate the energy production of solar systems under different conditions. 

Documentation: Maintaining accurate records, documentation, and reports related to solar projects and activities is essential for tracking progress and compliance. 

Project Support: Support ongoing solar projects, assisting with tasks such as procurement, budgeting, and project scheduling. 

Documentation and Reporting: Contribute to project documentation, including technical reports, drawings, and specifications.

Qualifications: 

  • Well-versed with AutoCAD, SketchUp, PVSyst, and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Majoring in Electrical and Electronic Engineering/ Environmental Engineering/ Civil Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering (Undergrad/Postgrad).
