Job Description

Primary Purpose

You will be part of the Asia Procurement Team and will have the opportunity to support Sourcing and Procurement initiatives within the SEAA & Japan region. As part of this internship, you will have the opportunity to work with cross functional teams and learn about the process of procurement. You will get the opportunity to support on new and/or CAPEX projects for digital and E-Commerce business initiatives.

 

During the internship, you will have the opportunity to..

  • Gain working knowledge of E2E RFP process in the local market/region
  • Gain working knowledge of different procurement categories in retail industry across the region
  • Support the selection and evaluation of vendors in each market ranging from consulting to media buy services
  • Support the CAPEX projects for digital & E-Commerce i.e. benchmark & share market practice with cross functional teams
  • Conduct market research and share best-in-class practices in the industry; identify opportunities to drive cost & process improvement

 

The accomplished individual will possess...

  • Penultimate or Final Year student who is pursuing a relevant course in Supply Chain and/or Operations
  • Demonstrates the Tapestry values: Optimist, Innovative and Inclusive
  • Good working knowledge MS Word, Excel and Access
  • Strong ability to analyze, model and interpret data
  • Attention to detail, result oriented, creative & positive approach to problem-solving
  • A keen desire to learn and ability to multi-tasking, prioritize in a fast paced environment
  • Tenacity of a Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong communication skills and proficiency in Japanese will be advantageous
