Job Description

Carro is seeking to hire a software engineer intern with a proven and demonstrable track record of building reliable applications in iOS and/or Android.

We are looking for Software Engineers to assist in front and backend development in a fun, dynamic, innovative and impactful engineering team. The products you create will be directly driving change in Carro’s future operations in the South East Asia region. You’ll be expected to be an excellent team player that leads and/or assists fellow engineers in product design, development, implementation and documentation from a hardware perspective. 

Main Responsibilities

• Hands-on involvement in prototype, design, develop, implement, document and support of mobile applications while upholding mobile development standard, best practices and methodologies.
• Working continuously to enhance and optimize the architecture, code and processes of our mobile apps.
• Actively proposing new features, functionality and ideas to improve the mobile apps.
• Work closely with the product team in the design sprints.
• Provide operational support, maintenance of code quality, bugs-fixes and git-versioning post implementation.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.
• Research on new trends/technologies and make recommendations on inclusions into the development methodologies and product architecture.

Requirements

• Final year students and fresh graduates majoring in Computer Science / Software Engineering or relevant fields.
• Strong working knowledge in API, JSON, HTTP.
• Familiarity with architecture styles/APIs (REST, MVVM, MVC).
• Familiar with agile development, prototyping, continuous integration, code deployment tools, workflows and source management tools (Git, Notion, etc).
• Knowledge of security standards and techniques for web/mobile applications.
• Understand mobile devices compatibility issues.
• Expertise in the design, implementation, and deployment of user-centric software, with focus on usability.

Skills

• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills.
• Proficient in programming skill using React Native.

Good to have

• Knowledge and experience in ReactJS.
• Familiarity with full-stack development / cross-platform development (Web, Android, iOS) will be advantageous.
• Familiarity and use of mobile IDE tools such as XCode and Android Studio would be advantageous.
• Familiar with Apple and Google store App deployment would be advantageous.
• Proficient in programming skill using IOS(Swift) and Android (Kotlin) would be advantageous.
