Arqis AI – Founding AI / Full-stack Engineer Intern

Arqis is building an AI-native control layer for high-value, high-complexity transactions. 

We're looking for a strong AI / full-stack engineering intern to work directly with the founding team and help build the core Arqis product.

This isn't an internship where you'll spend a semester working on an isolated project. You'll ship features that customers actually use.

What you'll work on

Build the core product

• Ship end-to-end features across the Arqis platform
• Build transaction review and remediation workflows
• Develop interfaces for reviewing risks, controls, exceptions and evidence
• Improve the speed, reliability and usability of the product

Build AI-native workflows

• Develop AI agents and workflows for analyzing complex transactions and documents
• Build structured extraction and reasoning pipelines across contracts, regulations and company data
• Develop evaluation frameworks to measure accuracy and reliability
• Experiment with different models, tools and agent architectures

Build the intelligence infrastructure

• Integrate regulatory, corporate and transaction data sources
• Build retrieval and search infrastructure across large document sets
• Develop APIs and data pipelines
• Help turn unstructured information into structured, auditable outputs

Ship with customers

• Work directly with the founder and early customers
• Turn customer problems into product features
• Prototype new ideas quickly
• See your work move from concept to production

What we're looking for

You should be comfortable building things independently and figuring out unfamiliar problems.

We're particularly interested if you have experience with some combination of:

• Python and/or TypeScript
• React / Next.js or similar modern web frameworks
• LLM APIs and AI application development
• RAG, agents, tool use or structured extraction
• Databases and APIs
• Cloud infrastructure
• Evaluation and testing of AI systems

You don't need experience with every technology above.

We care more about whether you've actually built things.

Side projects, open-source contributions, hackathons and products you've shipped matter more to us than GPA.

What makes this different

You'll join Arqis at an unusually early stage.

You'll have significant ownership over what gets built and how it gets built, work directly with the founder and see how an enterprise AI company goes from product to customer.

Strong interns may have the opportunity to continue with Arqis beyond the internship.
