We are looking for interns to join the team. The ideal candidate should be analytical, proactive, equipped with a good attitude and willingness to learn.
The successful candidate will support the tech team back end development of a fairly new EdTech platform, responsible for creating and maintaining technology at the back end of a website (the server, database and application). The position will be based in Singapore and a post-internship review will be conducted by a Director at BlackStorm Consulting.
You will be given the opportunity to improvise a new EdTech platform and build your portfolio.
As a Back End Developer Intern, your duties include but not limited to:
- Integrate the user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers
- Maintain and develop server logic and central database
- Manage the interchange of data between the server and the users
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Implement security and data protection
- Design and implement the data storage solutions to ensure high performance of the system
Requirements include but not limited to:
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly proficient in written and verbal English
- Able to perform data migration, transformation, scripting, and testing
- Proficient knowledge of a back-end programming language PHP and code versioning tools such as Git
- Proficient understanding of OWASP security principles
- Understand CakePHP Framework will be a plus
