Job Description

As an Acoustical Consultant, you will help to provide consultancy for the assessment of acoustics in residential, commercial, and government projects. You will also provide acoustical simulation data and perform ISO and ASTM standard testing.

Job Description

  1. Design spaces using acoustic modeling softwares AFMG EASE, AFMG SoundFlow, etc
  2. Use machine learning to do predictive acoustics modelling with Scikit-Learn and Tensorflow
  3. Generate acoustic graphs using Matplotlib and Seaborn
  4. Connect with architects, contractors, engineers and owners to design strategic solutions to acoustical problems
  5. Prepare quotations and proposals for tenders and projects
  6. Produce sound insulation details and standard penetration details in AutoCAD
  7. Label sound insulation mark-up in drawings for projects
  8. Perform acoustics measurements and preparation of acoustics test reports to ISO and ASTM standards
  9. Project management including preparation tender document; liaise with client and sub-contractors
  10. Attend site, consultant, and design meetings, and prepare acoustics recommendation and analysis reports
  11. Understanding trends and best practices in the acoustics industry

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Acoustical Engineering, Acoustical Science, Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, or relevant field
  2. Experience of work in 2D and 3D computational environments
  3. Understanding of acoustic principles and real-world applications
  4. The ability to work under pressure, prioritise effectively, manage deadlines with good organisational skills
  5. Presentation skills with clients of all levels
