Job Description

Spintronic nano-devices are promising for memory and computing applications owning to their non-volatility and energy-efficiency at nanometer lengthscales. The spin technologies group in IMRE is leading the development of materials and devices to realize next-generation memory and computing devices. The fabrication and characterization of these nano-devices is a crucial component of such efforts.

The candidate hired for the advertised role would:1. Support and coordinate deposition and preparation of spintronics thin films2. Fabricate spintronic nanodevices using existing processes on a range of lithography and related toolls3. Perform film- and device-level magnetic, electrical and microscopy characterization4. Assist in the computer-aided design (CAD) for device fabrication5. To support the maintenance of associated instruments and equipment

The candidate should have a Bachelors from any of the following (or related) disciplines: Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, Materials Science & Engineering, Common Engineering, Physics or Applied Physics. He/she should also be comfortable working within a team and collaborating across within and outside of A*STAR.
