Company Profile

Advanced Micro Foundry Pte. Ltd. (AMF) offers foundry services using Silicon Photonics technology, enabling customers to develop and manufacture integrated Photonics Chips for a broad range of applications. With differentiated technology, AMF products can enable the next generation of optical products.

Since it was spun off A*STAR in 2017, AMF has since expanded its operations, moving from a lab environment to a fabrication facility. As it evolves from a start-up to a semiconductor manufacturing company, there is a greater need for efficiency and standard procedures to manage the legal risks of the business.

The intern will act as a valuable resource for AMF’s in-house legal team and senior leadership team as we embark on specific projects over the next quarter.

Job Description

We are seeking an intern to play an important role in setting up AMF’s legal and compliance practices. This paid internship is structured as a 2-month (full time) or 4-month (part time) commitment intended to grant exposure to a law student or recent graduate interested in exploring in-house practice early in their career. This role offers the intern with the unique insight into the various hats worn by inhouse legal counsels, an experience which will be highly sought after in in-house practice.

Responsibilities

  • Provide legal and administrative support to the business in the implementation of a contract management system.
  • Conduct audit of AMF’s Intellectual Property documentation and support the set-up of IP recordal system.
  • Drafting and reviewing legal policies.
  • Liaising with the business teams to help further improve AMF’s existing internal workflow processes.
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken (mandatory)
  • Able to commit for a minimum of 2 months (full time) or 4 months (part time), with opportunity for extension for longer period.
  • It is not crucial to be familiar with the common areas of law encountered in in-house practice (intellectual property, privacy, commercial law). What is more important to us is your ability to learn quickly, taking pride in your work and a real passion for learning.
  • Experience managing projects and the ability to work autonomously will be advantageous.
  • The intern must be an organized individual who is attentive to detail.
