Access Partnership seeks interns who are fluent in English and other Asian languages to join our team in Asia. The candidate will be involved in ICT and telecommunications policy areas.

Job Description

Duties

You will research, analyse and develop reports on policy topics, political trends, processes and regulations related to ICT and telecommunications policy areas in Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Thailand as well as other Asian markets.

Desired skills and experience

Essential

  • Fluent in English
  • Fluent in Asian language(s)
  • Strong understanding of Asia’s culture and history
  • Strong writing skills
  • Ability to analyse and produce insights on policy, political, economic and social issues
  • Bachelor’s degree in related areas (political science/international relations/cultural studies)
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft office and other publishing platforms
  • Effective time management skills
  • Social media skills

Desirable

  • Graduate degree or candidacy for graduate degree
  • Experience in technology industry
  • Genuine interest in technology policy
  • Interest in international trade, politics, business and market trends
  • Consultancy and/or technology policy experience
  • Experience with Asian policy issues

Salary

You will be remunerated on an hourly basis. The internship is for a period of 3 months, with possibility of extension. We are open to full-time and part-time internship candidates, as well as candidates who can work remotely.
