Venture Capital Research Intern (Remote)
Company: FMG / Client. Location: Remote (global team, global exposure)
Duration: 3-6 months, possibly longer, immediate start
About this role
Most VC internships put you behind a spreadsheet modelling deals you'll never meet the founders of or know the outcomes.
This one is different.
You'll sit inside a live capital-raising ecosystem alongside a founder who has taken multiple businesses to public markets, runs an MAS regulated fund and works with the world's leading UHNW investor community.
Operating across Singapore, Dubai, London, and New York. Your job is to help our client map, research, and connect with the entrepreneurs raising capital and the investors deploying it.
If you've ever wondered how deals actually get done at the level nobody teaches in university, this is where you'll learn it.
What you'll actually do:
Research and profile founders raising Seed to Series B capital across our target sectors Track investor activity, thesis shifts, and cheque sizes across family offices, VCs, and angel syndicates Build and maintain our proprietary investor and founder database Identify and shortlist high-signal prospects for our capital-raising community.
Reach out and engage with entrepreneurs and investors, learning the language of fundraising conversation by conversation Sit in on live deal discussions and investor calls. Publish short internal briefings on emerging deals, sectors, and investors based on actualities, not theory.
Why this is different from every other VC internship
You won't be the 47th intern at a fund fetching coffee. You'll be one of a small team with direct access to the founder, real investor conversations, and the mechanics of how capital actually gets raised.
Our founder, has written multiple best selling books on this space, hosts a business podcast ranked in the top 5% globally. His frequent observation: 'professionals who master capital raising never go hungry'.
This role gives you that capital raising fluency 10 years earlier than your peers.
What you'll walk away with
- Real conversations with founders raising millions and investors deploying millions
- A working understanding of deal structuring, investor psychology, and fundraising strategy
- Direct exposure to family office, and UHNW investor world
- A CV line that opens doors at any fund, bank, or startup
- LinkedIn profile experience you can actually defend in an interview
Who we're looking for
Currently a student or recent graduate in finance, business, economics, or a numerate discipline (though we care more about hunger than degree)
- Comfortable on LinkedIn and email outreach.
- Willing to have a lot of conversations
- Curious about how capital moves and who moves it
- Sharp written English and strong research instincts
- Self-directed
Available for at least 3 months, circa 20 hours per week Based anywhere — this is fully remote

Send a short note explaining what draws you to venture capital and one recent deal or investor thesis that caught your attention. That's it. No CV needed for the first screen.
