Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

  • Youth Support (Special Needs) champions, challenges, and empowers youths with special needs to reach their fullest potential. Through a range of arts, sports, and employment training programmes, we build confidence, resilience, and independence, enabling youths with special needs to live more independently and thrive in their communities. As an Intern for Youth Support (Special Needs), you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of meaningful and inclusive programmes for youths with special needs. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in programme development, participant engagement, and service delivery within the social service sector, while contributing to creating impactful and empowering experiences for the youths we serve.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in planning and coordinating inclusive programmes for youths with special needs.
  • Support programme execution, facilitation, and day-to-day operations during events.
  • Engage with youths in a respectful, encouraging, and supportive manner.
  • Prepare programme materials, resources, and logistics required for activities.
  • Assist with participant attendance tracking, documentation, and administrative tasks.
  • Support programme evaluation and feedback collection for continuous improvement.
  • Work closely with the programme team to ensure a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment.
  • Provide general operational and administrative support as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Community Development, or related fields.
  • Passionate about working with youths and individuals with special needs.
  • Patient, empathetic, and comfortable interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill.
  • Responsible, proactive, and willing to learn.
  • Able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Prior experience in volunteering or working with youths or persons with special needs will be an advantage.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Office Environment with WFH on selected day(s) – 5 days work week.
