The ideal candidate is a hardworking, result-orientated and fun-loving team player who is passionate about the travel and tourism industry & the national education sector, and will play a critical role in the sales and marketing of tour products across various sales channels and platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Handle all tour bookings, reservations, customisations and amendments
  • Prepare sales quotations, tour proposals and itineraries for customers
  • Generate leads, reach out to potential clients, pitch and close sales
  • Develop and establish new sales channels, agent relationships and partnerships
  • Assist in operational procedures i.e. customisation of tours, tour logistics and on the ground management
  • Ensure quality service & tour delivery and compliance of operational procedures
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational and service methods / procedures
  • Work with internal and marketing teams to achieve company strategic objectives and goals
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and updates
  • Follow up and maintain relationship with clients
  • Monitor monthly sales target, tour volume, feedback and customer reviews
  • Oversee sales team and ensure smooth coordination within the team
  • Handle other administrative tasks

Qualifications

  • Diploma / Degree in Business or related field
  • Min. 3 years of experience in a sales or customer service role
  • Background of working in the travel/tourism or educational industry is a plus
  • Experience in customer relationship management
  • Ability to manage and lead a sales team
  • Knowledge in sales software such as Hubspot and Mailchimp is a plus
  • Independent, results-driven, and able to work under minimal supervision
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Strong copywriting and organisational skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Good eye for aesthetics and detail
  • Willingness to work and continuously learn in a growing start-up/SME environment
