Job Description

The role

PR Interns will be driven and passionate about PR and their clients. They do the junior day-to-day work on an account such as writing media materials, media sell-ins and media monitoring. It is at this stage that PR Interns, with the help of their Account Managers, start to build up their knowledge of PR and Communications, how to communicate effectively and build relationships with different stakeholders including journalists and influencers. Other work includes online research, social media community management, liaison with third party suppliers and event organisation.

Responsibilities

  • Support on curation and updating of media and influencer lists
  • Support on content development, including media pitches, releases, factsheets and social media captions
  • Media and influencer outreach and engagement (guided by a senior)
  • Support on campaign planning and coordination, including sourcing, liaison with vendors, arranging media drops
  • Attend and provide support at client events, meetings and media sessions as necessary
  • Support on proposal development, including online research, participating in brainstorms
  • Monitor the media, including newspapers, magazines, online, broadcasts, newswires, social media and blogs, for client coverage
  • Compile and prepare client coverage and/or activity reports

Requirements

  • Passionate about the marketing and communications industry
  • Good written and communication skills
  • Positive attitude towards learning
  • Enjoys working in a team and meeting and interacting with people
  • Self-motivated and resourceful
