The Operations Internship will get an excellent opportunity within Volvo Group and bring win-win learning experience for self and the Company. The Intern will be exposed to lean methodology, Volvo Production System and work closely with Singapore Operations Manager, Team leaders and other logistics personnels within the operations.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Applying lean concepts into work flow and material flow design, mapping AS-IS and develop TO-BE process.
- Create and develop SOP & WI for warehouse operations process.
- Conduct time studies, analyze data to identify waste elimination opportunities targeting.
- Develop Takt time cycle time charts for various value streams
- Assist and execute defined layout changes optimizing space taking consideration of Safety, Quality and Cost.
- Assist in ad hoc projects and tasks
Critical Competencies Required
- Team player, hands on attitude with great attention to details
- Should be able to work passionately on defined job responsibilities with good time Management, Communication Skills and Follow up
- Skill set around basic principles of Supply Chain, Operations or Logistics Warehouse management
- Intermediate skills in MS Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint), having good Analytical
- Proficiency in the English language is must – Written & Verbal.
Key Qualifications:
- Undergraduates in Supply Chain management, Business and Operations Management, or equivalent courses
- Intermediate skills in MS Office (Word / Excel / PowerPoint)
- Effective verbal and communication skills
- No experience are welcome as training will be provided
- Previous experience in a large warehousing logistics environment will be highly advantageous
