Voices Of Asia (VOA) is a Singapore-based social

enterprise founded in 2010 to create a safe and supportive society for youths in Asia. We aim to help youths during their pivotal moments and grow in career and personal development. Our initiative was first outreached as a form of sharing to aspiring corporate individuals in 2010. This initiative has progressively evolved into mentoring, and we are running 3 main mentorship programmes today - iASPIRE, iLEAD & BLOOM.


Job Description

 

We are seeking energetic and self-motivated individuals to join our team to make an impact on youth’s career and personal development. This position is responsible for execution of our mentoring programs and supporting the development of our business growth. The intern will have holistic exposure to program management, stakeholder engagement, strategic business development, and working with other team members for continual program review and improvements.

Roles & Responsibilities :

1. Participate, facilitate and contribute to all programs’ planning meetings

2. Plan, set and track program milestones against agreed upon schedule, reporting status to Exco and project leads

3. Participate in and support business strategy and development meetings

4. Develop and implement recovery plans for off-schedule and unanticipated outcomes

5. Coordinate with project teams to provide program status and obtain their feedback to ensure consistency of processes

6. Define resources and schedule for the implementation of programs

7. Review areas for internal improvement and developing plans for implementing them

8. Manage, maintain and updates all resources/library built by each project team

9. Ensure accessibility of resources/library to stakeholders as needed

10. Support internal team members in management of strategic partnership especially in relation to programs involving collaboration with partners

11. Translate user research into new programmes and channels

Learning Objectives & Outcomes:

1. To be able to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

2. To gain a practical knowledge and experience of working and managing stakeholders including volunteers

3. To gain knowledge and experience working in a social enterprise and developing your program management skills

4. To understand, implement and manage end to end development and implementation of projects

5. To be able to gain analytical skills and knowledge sharing and resource management

6. To be able to contribute ideas and perspectives towards youth development via mentoring programs through involvement at different levels, including planning and direct participation

7. To enhance social and professional network through our community of alumni, mentors and partners, hear and learn from their experiences and perspectives
