Vflowtech Pte. Ltd. – Power Control and Communication Engineer

Candidates with the following qualification and experience would be ideal for this position:

- Masters/Phd degree in power electronics, electrical or communication engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience or bachelor degree with 4-5 years of relevant experience

- Experience with python/C/C++ knowledge would be a plus.

- A strong understanding of power systems (both on and off grid), inverters and other power electronics devices

- Previous background on battery management system (BMS) development of batteries, supercapacitors, etc.

- Basic understanding of vanadium redox flow battery is a plus

- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

- Should be self-starters and be able to work with minimal direction

The selected candidate is expected to undertake the following key responsibilities.

- Design and develop power control system (includes inverter, DC/DC converters, switches, relay, sensors, power supply, etc.), charge controller, battery management system (BMS) and energy management system (EMS) for flow battery

- Design and develop IoT system for the battery for remote monitoring of performance and remote control

- Long term performance testing of flow battery system at the lab and installation site

- Provide site service to locations where the battery will be installed

- Searching for different vendors, purchasing of necessary components, closely working with contractors, if required

- Supervise masters and bachelor thesis students and interns

- Any other tasks that may deemed necessary during the development and commercialisation path.
