Vertex Ventures SEA Management Pte Ltd – Investment Analyst Intern

Vertex Holdings is a Singapore-based venture capital investment holding company and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Temasek Holdings. We focus on venture capital investment opportunities in the information technology and health care markets through its global network of six venture capital funds. Across our network of funds, we manage over $3 billion in AUM and has invested in more than 200 start-ups globally. Today, the Vertex network has over 90 professionals globally, with offices based across China, Israel, Singapore, India, Indonesia and the United States.

Project Objectives

1. To gain solid experience in Venture Capital investments and operations
2. To gain in-depth understanding of startup funding, operations and landscape 
3. To gain hands-on real world experience working closely with partners, startup founders and venture stakeholders, performing necessary due diligence and analysis of the viability of potential investments, and learn deal flow processes

Job Description

1. Conduct market research and analysis on industries and companies through primary and secondary research to help venture teams stay up to date on the latest VC news, and help leaders make better decisions based on analytical and strategic insight
2. Develop investment thesis and prepare research reports and presentations to help identify new investment trends and opportunities for investment teams
3. Support deal sourcing and screening of potential investments
4. Work closely with partners to help portfolio companies grow value and achieve a healthy return on investment or execute other portfolio projects
5. Assist associates, partners and other relevant stakeholders with other due diligence or activities as required
