Job Description

The Team 

The Capital Markets team is responsible for managing structured credit facilities for Validus Group, and the funding operations sub-function is responsible for ensuring the seamless administration of these on a daily basis.

Job Responsibilities

  • Running loan information through allocation systems, providing instructions related to the outputs, and maintaining data entries
  • Preparing management reports and assisting in the preparation of financial reports 
  • Assisting the Head of Capital Markets in ad-hoc analyses and performance measurements 
  • Assisting the analyst team with administrative tasks related to day-to-day funding operations
  • Liaising with external agents & vendors to gather information for reporting
  • Assisting in submission of scheduled reports to external parties
  • Participate in general administrative functions, including document collection and management, data entry & repository maintenance, etc. 
  • Leveraging the above to participate in investor audits and due diligence fulfillment
  • Ensure timely and prompt processing as per committed SLA 
  • Ensure processes and controls adheres to guidelines (internal, regulatory, etc.)
  • Work closely with various internal and external stakeholders (Front Office, Compliance, Credit, etc.) to complete required processing and resolve issues arising 
  • Participate in process reviews (including mapping of processes) and system enhancements (requirements gathering, testing, etc.) 
  • Create and maintain manuals and SOP documentation

Job Requirements 

  • Committed and motivated individuals who are meticulous and have an eye for detail
  • Effective team player with good interpersonal, analytical and communication skills. Able to articulate thoughts clearly and approach problems proactively
  • Positive attitude to learn and ask questions
  • Results and service-oriented; able to work independently, sometimes under pressure
  • Good analytical and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office, particularly in MS Excel
  • Relevant accounting / finance degree or diploma
