Company Profile

Upsight is an ecosystem builder and intelligence company operating at the intersection of ecosystems, data, and market opportunities across Southeast Asia. We work with corporates, governments, investors, and startups to unlock new markets, build strategic partnerships, and translate ecosystem activity into actionable intelligence, digital tools, and venture opportunities.

Our flagship initiative, ChargedUp, is Southeast Asia’s EV and mobility ecosystem. What began as Singapore’s largest EV event has evolved into a year‑round platform connecting fleet operators, OEMs, charging infrastructure providers, innovators, and public‑sector stakeholders. Building on this foundation, ChargedUp is developing a suite of digital products, internal tools, and intelligence‑driven platforms that support real‑world electrification, mobility innovation, and new venture creation across the region.

Job Description

The Role

We are looking for a Product Engineering & Development Intern to support the design, development, and iteration of ChargedUp’s growing digital product suite.

This is a hands‑on, build‑focused role. You will work closely with the founder, strategy leads and business development leads to prototype, build, and ship real digital tools — ranging from web applications and APIs to data workflows and internal platforms. While the role involves product thinking and user context, it is engineering‑led, with a strong emphasis on execution and technical ownership.

This is not a hypothetical or slide‑based internship — the tools you help build will be used internally and externally as part of ChargedUp’s products and initiatives.

Main Responsibilities

Product Engineering & Development

  • Build and enhance web applications, websites, and user‑facing features
  • Develop and integrate APIs, including AI/LLM APIs and third‑party mobility or EV data sources
  • Support the creation of internal tools, scripts, and light automations to improve operational efficiency
  • Develop and maintain data workflows, including data processing, cleaning, and basic visualisation
  • Assist in building early components of ChargedUp’s digital product suite supporting electrification and mobility initiatives

 Platform Improvement & Quality

  • Implement updates, improvements, and mobile‑responsive elements across digital platforms
  • Conduct testing, debugging, and quality assurance on new features and prototypes
  • Help document technical decisions, workflows, and feature specifications

 Product & User Context

  • Collaborate with product leads and founders to translate requirements into buildable features
  • Contribute to basic UI/UX flows and functional design decisions
  • Conduct light research on user needs, industry trends, and mobility or electrification use cases to inform development priorities

 Who Should Apply?

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or related fields
  • Strong coding ability in Python and JavaScript
  • Solid foundation in HTML + CSS for front‑end development
  • Experience building web applications, scripts, or prototypes
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, databases, and basic integration workflows
  • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, etc.)
  • Exposure to AI tools, data processing, or workflow automation
  • Interest in mobility, digital ecosystems, or sustainability
  • Curious, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast‑moving environment with frequent changes and ambiguity
  • Prior experience in software or product-related internships is an added advantage
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Data Science, or related fields

 Structure & Commitment

  • Full-time internship, min 6 months
  • Must be able to start in May 2026 and have work authorisation in Singapore
  • Monthly internship stipend
  • Opportunity for full‑time conversion for strong performers
