Job Description

The incumbent is a highly creative and dynamic individual with acute business acumen to lead, manage, curate, implement and sustain the programmes and initiatives of Café Kawan and Mobile Café Kawan.

Plan and design programmes/initiatives for Café Kawan and Mobile Café Kawan while proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues, and initiating appropriate corrective actionRecommend and adopt effective marketing strategies for new and existing programmes through various channels, in line with the Foundation’s objectivesManage programme budget, monitor expenditure and costs against delivered and realised benefitsEnsure that expenses are within budget and identify ways to decrease operational costsDraft application and proposals for submission to funding authorities to maximize grants and license approvals for operating the cafeOversee the recruitment, training, and supervision of café staff and volunteersEstablish work standards and processes for the effective administration and running of the cafeIdentify strategies to attract and engage the seniors in the communityManage successful partnerships, collaborations and communication with various stakeholders

Qualifications

Minimum Degree/Diploma with 3 years of working experience of a similar capacity in a service-oriented industryCertificate in Food Hygiene is preferred but successful candidates without the certification must be willing to complete the coursePreferably with some hands-on experience in food preparationExperience with social media and in managing volunteers will be a plusTeam player with excellent people management skillsResourceful and possess strong organisational skillsPenchant for working with the elderly and their caregiversExcellent communication skills in English and MandarinAbility to converse in Chinese dialects is an added advantage

Salary range is indicative and will commensurate with qualification and experience.
