The BD Intern reports to the Director of Business Development. He/She will work together with the local team to maintain Trustmoore’s position as the preferred boutique fund services provider for small to mid-size fund managers, delivering corporate services with a personalized touch.
In 2021, Singapore’s asset management industry AUM (assets under management) climbed to S$5.4 trillion. Singapore’s alternatives sector is a key drive for growth, with PE and VC AUM increasing by 42% in the same year. In addition, the number of single family offices (SFO) in Singapore almost doubled from 400 in 2020 to 700 as at end 2021. Against this backdrop, Trustmoore’s Singapore office is growing at a rapid pace to meet the needs of our client group. Servicing private equity, venture capital, hedge fund and family office clients, this role offers an opportunity for the candidate to immerse himself in the fund management industry and network with alternative investment managers.
The BD Intern will assist the Business Development team to create significant additional profitable growth leading to increased substantial, sustainable yearly revenues by promoting, expanding, and coordinating Trustmoore’s commercial activities.
What you will do?
- Qualify inbound marketing enquiries from email, website, conferences and other channels;
- Populate request for proposals (RFPs) and contribute to local proposals;
- Actively look for business development opportunities by proactively researching accounts, identify key players and generate target lists;
- Prepare Business plans to support the expansion of the business;
- Organise client and ambassador marketing events; working closely with marketing team;
- Attend conferences and road shows if required, schedule follow up meetings;
- Update pitch decks and RFP templates where required;
- Maintain high level of data integrity and update deal pipeline on Trustmoore’s CRM system;
- Assist with onboarding of clients and collaborate with internal legal and finance team.

As BD Intern you will need to have an entrepreneurial mindset and should support the Business Development Team in delivering added value to the commercial discipline within Trustmoore. You will be a creative strategist and expected to bring new brand expansion ideas to the table.
