Job Description

We are looking for a highly organised and entrepreneurial Marketing Executive to help create a best-in-class sales process and marketing engine for a tech startup focused on the travel and tourism industry. Responsibilities include managing the early part of the sales process (identifying prospects, qualifying them and setting up meetings for the founder), building and sustaining strategic with key partners of T.I.P., improving the end-to-end customer experience, and being willing to ‘wear many hats’ as the opportunities arise!

We are looking for someone with proven analytical capabilities and project management skills, strong attention to detail, the ability to effectively prioritise and multi-task, and a proven record of delivering results. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and independent with a desire to become an expert in the online travel industry and a high level of flexibility and commitment.

Job Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect potential clients
  • Meet targets set for each month
  • Follow the sales process roadmap provided by the founder with great accuracy
  • Content creation for marketing and PR campaigns
  • Develop client proposals and presentation decks
  • Admin work such as database entry and management, invoicing, accounts receivable

Basic Requirements:

  • if you’ve worked in sales/marketing/operations OR at an advertising agency OR in travel/tourism/hospitality then that’s a bonus but not a requirement. A student with strong work ethic and a will to learn from the ground up is highly desired!
  • Strong organisational skills including prioritising, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines
  • Solid communications skills – verbal and written in English
  • Eagerness to understand the sales process and apply critical thinking skills to refining it over time as you gain more experience
  • Flexible and eager to take on new challenges
  • Willingness to take on more responsibility when the time comes
  • Detail-oriented
  • Tech savvy. Ability to grasp new systems and applications
  • Be thorough but recognise that it doesn’t need to be perfect. Speed wins!
  • Positive, proactive and able to always exercise great judgement
  • Geographical awareness and cultural sensitivity
  • Curiosity about the travel, advertising & media publisher industries and how they function
