Tradeasia International Pte. Ltd. is a privately owned, independent company headquartered in Singapore. We are a global trading organization providing integrated chemical procurement services with certainty and trust, which makes Tradeasia unique. Commodity manufacturers are in need of raw materials for the production of chemicals and it is usually not available in the same region. Big chemical manufacturers focus mainly on their production process and output. They distribute in bulk vessels and are sometimes not able to support commodity manufacturers for container loads. Additionally, some markets are difficult to penetrate owing to volume requirement and financing.
Tradeasia International was setup with the sole intention of carrying out chemical distribution services especially to commodity industries in many parts of the world. Today, Tradeasia International represents a growing number of businesses that are serving a variety of markets. We source and supply about 500-600 containers monthly to our customers worldwide.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Business Development – Global & Regional
1. Conduct market research, source and identify potential suppliers.
2. Researching organizations and individuals online (especially on social media) to identify new leads and potential new markets.
3. Contacting potential customers via email or phone to establish rapport and set up meetings.
4. Sending Daily reports on business activities, market trends to senior management.
5. Perform digital marketing activities including social media marketing, email and newsletter marketing to establish the brand.
Qualifications:
1.Applicable to students pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering or Business.
2. Only students in 3rd and 4th year of their UG course are encouraged to apply for this internship.
3. Masters or MBA students will be given priority.
4.Team Player as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
5. Proficient in MS Word/Excel/PowerPoint, and is internet savvy.
6.Language Skills: English (Required), French, Spanish, Malay, Chinese or any other additional foreign languages are ideal for qualification.
