Job Description

Finance Intern (Available From January 2024 for 6 Months)

 

The scope of this internship is very broad as the intern will support the Finance department on back office, accounting, risk and other day to day supports. 

Back-Office: 

- Support the operations related to price checking, invoicing, and filing for worldwide deliveries done in various ports (Korea, Singapore, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Pacific Islands…) 

- Understanding and applying the right GST or VAT clause for invoicing purpose 

- Prepare prepayments relating to trade operations 

- Create and update procedures and user manuals 

- Monthly Back Office Reporting and projects 

Accounting and Treasury: 

- Support the monthly and quarterly Intercompany reconciliation 

- Prepare monthly supplier reconciliation - Maintenance of counterparty database 

- GST and VAT checks and ensure completeness and accuracy 

- Preparation of government surveys 

- Preparation of monthly reports 

- Assist with audit matters 

- Projects and other ad-hoc duties 

Risk: 

- Weekly trading and positions limits report 

- Key counterparty daily credit exposure report 

- Credit excess validation and follow up on past dues 

- Weekly exposure forecast 

- Drafting of procedure guides and preparation of trade securities documentation 

- Ad-hoc duties for monthly risk report and credit insurance 

Controlling and Analyst: 

- Weekly/Monthly MPA reporting 

- Prepare Daily Index pricing report for the management 

- Assist with budgeting/forecasting 

- Conduct daily P&L checks

Requirements: 

-Ability to work with diverse cultures and with an international mindset 

-Good organization and analytical skills are essential 

-Integrity, along with business and risk acumen 

-Possess initiative and pro-activeness 

-Numerate background and advanced excel skills an advantage 

-Meticulous/detailed oriented and interested in data crunching
