Job Description

Brief Description:

This position is responsible for assisting the fundraising team in researching potential donors, preparing fundraising proposals, coordinating fundraising events, and maintaining donor databases.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1) Conduct research on potential donors and funding opportunities

2) Assist in the preparation of grant proposals and donor solicitation letters

3) Help organise and coordinate fundraising events and campaigns

4) Assist in maintaining and updating donor databases and records

5) Support the fundraising team in various administrative tasks as needed

6) Collaborate with other departments to ensure fundraising efforts align with organisational goals

7) Assist in creating marketing and communication materials to promote fundraising campaigns

Learning Objectives and Outcomes:

1) To be exposed to research techniques for identifying potential donors and funding opportunities

2) To be able to write effective grant proposals and donor solicitation letters

3) To apply project management and teamwork skills to fundraising event planning and coordination

4) To participate in maintaining accurate and up-to-date donor databases and records

5) To learn how to manage time, stay organised, and pay attention to detail in administrative support tasks

6) To gain knowledge in cross-functional collaboration and communication to align fundraising efforts with organisational goals

7) To be able to create marketing and communication materials to promote fundraising campaigns, applying marketing principles and audience targeting techniques
