Ivy Institute is an award-winning admissions and edtech company headquartered in the United States. We specialize in helping high school and university students gain admission to top universities in the US, UK, Canada, and Australia through a combination of personalized admissions counseling, test preparation, and AI-powered application tools. Over the past several years we have supported more than 20,000 students and we maintain a 97 percent acceptance rate to Top 50 US universities. Our programs are known for their data-driven approach, strong counselor network, and measurable outcomes, which is why we have received multiple industry awards for innovation in education and student success.
We are now in a phase of aggressive international expansion, with Southeast Asia as our primary growth region. Demand for US and UK university admissions support in SEA has grown rapidly as more families seek global education pathways. To meet this demand, Ivy Institute is building a local presence across Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, and the Philippines through partnerships with schools, learning centers, and community platforms. Our goal is to make Ivy-level admissions support accessible to SEA students while adapting our programs to local academic calendars, languages, and cultural contexts.
About the Role
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving Ivy Institute’s growth across Southeast Asia. This is a founding BD role for the region and will require someone who is comfortable building from zero, owning revenue targets, and acting as the face of the company in market.
Key Responsibilities
You will identify and secure strategic channel partnerships with international schools, tuition centers, education agencies, test prep providers, and digital platforms across SEA. The goal is to embed Ivy Institute’s admissions packages into existing student pipelines.
You will build and manage a high-performing affiliate network. This includes recruiting new affiliates, setting commission structures, providing marketing materials, and tracking performance to ensure consistent B2C lead flow and conversions.
You will be responsible for generating new B2B and B2C leads through direct outreach, events, webinars, and partnerships. You will take those leads through to signed agreements for our admissions packages, both for individual students and for institutional bulk deals.
You will work closely with our US counseling and product teams to localize our offer for each SEA market. This includes pricing, packaging, messaging, and go-to-market strategy.
You will report on pipeline, revenue, and partnership metrics monthly, and you will be expected to meet quarterly targets for signed contracts and revenue.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone with at least 1-3 years of experience in business development, preferably in edtech, education services, or consulting. You should have a track record of closing partnerships and hitting revenue goals in SEA. An existing network within schools, agencies, or education platforms in the region is a strong advantage. We are also hiring for student ambassadors and welcome applications from fresh graduates.
You need to be a self-starter who is comfortable with cold outreach, pitching to school leadership, and negotiating commercial terms. You should understand affiliate and channel sales models and know how to scale them.
Excellent communication skills in English are required. Additional SEA languages are a plus. You should be based in Singapore or be open to frequent travel across the region.
Why Join Ivy Institute
This is an opportunity to join an established US brand at the start of its SEA expansion. You will have autonomy to build the region, direct access to leadership, and performance-based compensation that includes base salary plus bonuses tied to partnerships and conversions. You will also be part of a mission-driven team that is helping thousands of students access better university outcomes.
