THE ROLE

We are looking for an in-house Accountant and Corporate Secretary for our firm. The Accountant is the main point of contact of the business for all finance matters, and also act as a Corporate Secretary for our clients and perform all corporate secretarial duties. The candidate needs to be comfortable with technologies and have excellent presentation skills with the ability to successfully communicate complex quantitative data to the management.

Job Description

ACCOUNTING DUTIES

Data entries to accounting software (infotech) according to the supporting documents of invoices and receipts

Verifying all payments for invoices and ensure all sales details are correct

Prepare and handle month end accounting - monthly journals, schedules, and bank reconciliation

 Assist to extract information for GST submission based on knowledge for GST and submit quarterly GST filing to IRAS

AP functions – Process AP invoices, proper recording of all invoices, processing payments and month end related journals, payroll journals & provision for bonus

Checking reimbursement form and business trip expenses, ensure all the business trip and expense is approved

Assist to check documents submitted are compliance with internal control procedures and processes are in line with company policy

Assist with monthly payroll of staff and proper records of monthly payroll records

Provide support and compile bookkeeping records to our external accountant for yearly Financial Year End reporting

Filing of yearly ir8a tax declaration for employees

 

CORPORATE SECRETARIAL DUTIES

Act as the Corporate Secretary for clients

Responsible for Corporate Secretarial duties for the company and clients, including incorporation of companies with ACRA, KYC and customer due diligence checks, writing company resolutions, board and members minutes, managing register of shareholders and ACRA filings

Assist with bank account opening related matters, such as, liaising with Bankers for corporate account opening

Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, local tax and government authorities where required

Manage and ensure compliance of company and clients’ companies with statutory documents such as annual returns, board resolutions, and minutes of meetings with relevant regulatory authorities

Other ad hoc duties assigned by the Management

 

REQUIREMENTS

At least a Degree in Accountancy and / or other recognized certification in accounting or its equivalents, e.g., ACCA / LCCI

Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience as a corporate secretary and accountant

Familiar with Singapore’s Companies Act

Meticulous and has an eye for detail

Able to work independently

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (word, powerpoint, excel)

Knowledge in accounting softwares like Infotech or Xero system will be preferred
