On behalf of one of its client, The French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore is recruiting an Export sales assistant – internship

Our client is a French global leader company in the supply of botanical raw material and health ingredients to the Food and Health Nutrition industries. In its objective of growth in the APAC area, they are looking for a Export sales assistant intern that will work with the Sales manager ASEAN, to actively prospect and engage new potential clients in the food industry.

Kindly note that Responsibilities

 

Main duties, but not limited to:

Business Development (about 70% of worktime)

The Sales Assistant main objective is to achieve business prospection of new potential clients (mainly within the Food industry). He/She will have to understand client’s needs, to propose relevant products for their future industrial use.

It will lead to new projects opportunities, to follow up & transform into new business.

➢ By identifying a list of companies and their respective “R&D team or procurement teams”, as relevant potential users of our products (this through websites, LinkedIn research etc). Once identified, these companies will be contacted for products introduction, either through phone calling, online meeting, emailing.

➢ By following incoming leads: Answer incoming requests, define the needs, and follow up of new projects to transform into business

 

Support to Sales manager (about 30% of worktime)

➢ Help to answer existing client’s requests linked with Quality matters,

➢ Support in creation of samples requests for client’s trials,

➢ Support in creation of commercial presentations for specific customers

 

Focus on key priority products and geographical area will be defined with the Sales manager upon the start of internship.

 

Requirements

  • Good English command is a must
  • Autonomous and motivated, strong proactivity
  • Good sense of contact and communication skills, with different nationalities and cultures, both by email and orally
  • No fear to engage clients and ask questions
  • Genuine interest in sales
  • Interest for food industry and natural ingredients
  • Curiosity, self learning
  • 6 months internship
