On behalf of one of its clients, in the Environment field, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Carbon Accounting and Life-Cycle Analysis intern. 

As a Carbon accounting and LCA intern, you will work closely with the Founders Team to further develop their in-house tools. You will support on preparing LCA for their new projects, contribute to the scaling strategy from Artisanal Production to Industrial production and develop and comprehensive model for their project techno-economic assessment (TEA). Your responsibilities will include ensuring efficient support to clients in building a strong supply of Carbon Removal Certificates.

Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Supply lead are:

- Work closely with the Founders team to develop and implement a new enhanced version of their environmental footprint assessment tool

- Develop a model to automate their in-house techno-economic assessment

- Prepare LCA studies for our new Biochar projects, prepare reports

- Contribute to the development of their scaling strategy and the establishment of their industrial production processes

- Responsible for a watch study covering Carbon Removals, Industrial pyrolysis and LCA

Requirements

- Master Degree candidate in Sustainability, Climate change or Carbon mitigation field. Gap year from Engineering school or university is accepted

- Deep understanding of carbon footprint assessment previous experience in Carbon Credits or Carbon accounting / LCA is preferred

- Familiar with OpenLCA of similar tools

- Excellent communication skills

- Fluent English, excellent Oral and written skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-changing organisation.

- Strong project management skills.

- Execution-oriented with the ability to manage multiple, complex projects.

- Passionate about sustainability, fighting against the climate crisis, and improving people's lives.

- 6 months internship, starts in January 2024.
