Job Description

Macro Environment Analysis:

 Conduct research on sustainability in the built environment, including current trends, policies, regulations, and industry standards.

 Identify key sustainability initiatives and their implications on fenestration and fenestration component industry.

 Analyze market demand and customer preferences for sustainable products and requirements.

 Discussion with Technoform North America and Europe regarding their sustainability targets

Green Building Certification Requirements:

 Investigate major & regional AP relevant green building certification programs (e.g., LEED, BREEAM, Greenmark) and their specific requirements related to fenestration and fenestration performance.

 Compile a comprehensive overview of the certification criteria, documentation processes, and benefits for window manufacturers.

 Evaluate the feasibility and potential advantages of Technoform products in obtaining green building certifications.

Carbon Calculation:

 Research and analyze the concept of embodied carbon in the building industry and specifically within the fenestration manufacturing sector.

 Explore methodologies and tools for calculating embodied carbon in fenestration.

 Collect data through LCA process on materials, manufacturing processes, and transportation to estimate the embodied carbon footprint of Technoform's product contribution.

Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and EPD Verifier Training:

 Study the principles and methodologies of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) for evaluating the environmental impact of window fabrication.

 Identify requirements and guidelines for conducting LCA assessments and developing Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs).

 Research and propose training opportunities for becoming an EPD verifier or collaborating with accredited verifiers. Supplier Environment Product Declaration (EPD) Benchmarking:

 Conduct a comprehensive survey of fenestration & fenestration components and their environmental product declarations.

 Establish a benchmarking framework to compare the sustainability performance of different fenestration and fenestration component suppliers.

Gap Analysis and Process Improvement:

 Perform a gap analysis of Technoform's existing LCA practices and production processes.

 Identify areas for improvement in terms of sustainability and carbon footprint reduction.

 Develop a roadmap and propose specific steps to enhance the sustainability performance of PPZ1 and PPZ2 production process.

Documentation and Reporting:

 Organize and maintain a comprehensive database of research findings, reports, and relevant resources.

 Prepare clear and concise summaries, presentations, and reports to communicate research findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
