Job Title: Fine Fragrance Marketing Intern
Location: Singapore
Position: 6 months internship

 This internship will be under the direction of Scent & Care Division | Fine Fragrance, APAC (Asia Pacific), Marketing Department. 

 We are seeking a motivated and creative candidate to join our Fine Fragrance Marketing Team for a 6-month internship at our SINGAPORE site. B2B Fragrance Marketing entails promoting our expertise to both external customers and internal stakeholders. We actively innovate and promote our fragrance technologies and our sustainable fragrance solutions, balancing the emotion of fragrances with a long-term vision for a better world. 

The ideal candidate will be able to work both independently and as part of a team, manage time and multiple projects efficiently, and be able bring one’s own ideas to life. Our intern will be guided and coached by members of our team and are given the chance to manage their own projects as well as participate in group projects. They will have the opportunity to interact directly with other departments at our site, and with international colleagues from all over the world. 

Job Description

Objective 
To gain first-hand marketing experience of suppliers to perfumery brands in a real time environment, with projects that equip and prepare them in shaping their careers in the B2B marketing sector.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Proactive & Customer Presentation 
    • Support in the development of marketing materials – from customer presentations to proactive fragrance collection.
    • Brainstorm for new product concepts & communication ideas.
    • Market research to deepen understanding into specific topics, trends & consumer segments for customer’s brief. 
    • Create product mock-ups to bring our fragrance concepts to life.

  2. Market & Trend Review  
    • Support the team in updating country deep dive reports for key Asian markets (ie: Market size, consumer insights, etc.)
    • Create trend presentations based on latest market & consumer movements.

  3. Market Understanding & Fine Fragrance Library Update 
    • Market update through the tracking of new product launches & wins in Asia Pacific.
    • Host weekly smelling sessions of new global & regional market products with the Fine Fragrance Team, to keep up to date with the latest perfume launches & trends.
    • Maintain the fine fragrance sample library & database.

  4.  MISC 
    • Support in administrative tasks as & when it’s needed.

Skills/Qualifications Required 

  • Marketing, Business or Graphic Design specialization 
  • Passionate about Perfume & Beauty Trends 
  • Fluent in written and spoken English 
  • Creative & resourceful 
  • Organized, able to work independently, good time management
  • Good communication skills 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Basic video creation and graphic design skills in Adobe Photoshop/ Illustrator will be a bonus.

Learning Outcome: 
After completion of the internship term, the individual will: 

  • Be well equipped with diverse skills, enabling a holistic approach toward B2B marketing. 
  • Gain deeper understanding of consumer drivers and the role of fragrance in brand/ product success. 
  • Gain knowledge of the Fine Fragrance segment in Asia Pacific and beyond and understand how trends get translated across different countries. 
  • Gain olfactive knowledge on how to decode & describe fragrances, ultimately having deeper appreciation for the art of perfumery.
