Job Description

Stratas Advisors seeks an Intern to join our Downstream team, which covers refining, petrochemicals, and syngas (including hydrogen) segments.

We are a global consulting and advisory firm that covers the full spectrum of the energy sector and related industries. We provide data, analysis and insight to the world’s leading businesses, governments, and institutions.

Roles and Responsibilities

This internship position will support our subscription-based services and consulting engagements by providing qualitative and quantitative research and analysis with the following responsibilities:

  • Help expand and manage databases associated with refining, petrochemicals, and syngas segments
  • Research, monitor, and analyze industry developments, as well as policies and regulations
  • Write and update reports pertaining to the energy and related sectors and associated topics
  • Assist with preparing client deliverables associated with consulting engagements

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Pursuing or completed Bachelor's or Masters’ Degree in Engineering, Policy or International Affairs, Energy Economics
  • Fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Able to meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities such as consulting engagements
  • Computer-proficient including applications for Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong oral/written communication skills in English and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience or deep knowledge of petrochemicals, syngas, renewable energy and marine sector
  • Fluency in one or several foreign languages will be an advantage
  • Programing languages and software applications, including Python and data analytics
